Physical activity is an important part of the approach to longevity described here. This approach cites a sevenfold lower risk of cancer among people who exercise regularly, and a low incidence of heart conditions among people who exercise vigorously.
Vigorous physical activity (at least three sessions of half an hour a week, with a noticeable rise in heart rate and sweating) is used in this approach to encourage hormone production, particularly growth hormone, as part of healthy ageing.
